xFSTK-Downloader is a cross-platform utility for flashing and recovering firmware on Intel Atom–based devices. It communicates with hardware that has entered Intel’s DnX (Download and eXecute) mode over USB, allowing you to push initial firmware (IFWI) and boot images to boards, tablets, and other systems built on platforms commonly including Bay Trail and Cherry Trail. It’s widely used for board bring-up, unbricking, and reinstalling firmware when a device no longer boots.

Key features:

  • USB-based firmware download using Intel DnX mode
  • Works with both GUI and command-line interfaces
  • Available for Windows and Linux
  • Progress indicators and detailed diagnostic logs
  • Suitable for lab work, recovery, and scripted automation

Important: xFSTK-Downloader is intended for experienced users. Using incorrect binaries or settings can render a device inoperable. Always follow the specific instructions from your device vendor and ensure the images match your exact hardware revision.

xFSTK-Downloader is developed by Intel Corporation 2012 and is used by 16 users of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 1.5 and 1.7. The name of the program executable file is xfstk-dldr-gui.exe.
